Department history

The department was established in 2008, 3 candidates of sciences, 3 PhD doctors, 11 senior teachers and lecturers work at the department. Head of the Department Ph.D., Associate Professor Suleimenova Tazakul Nurlybayevna.

3-level model of education of the department:

- bachelor's degree (4 years of study);

- scientific and pedagogical master's degree (2 academic years);

- doctoral studies (3 academic years) provide continuous training.

The department annually applies the practice of updating the content of educational programs based on the choice of elective disciplines by students in accordance with the trajectory of training and the demands of the labor market.

In the 2014/2015 academic year, the educational programs of the specialties 5B072600-"Technology and design of light industry products", 6M072600-"Technology and design of light industry products" were internationally accredited by the ASIIN agency (Dusseldorf, Germany).) The department not only improves the quality of teaching and training, but also performs a significant educational and methodological base and research work.

The department is equipped with modern equipment, educational laboratories. The "testing laboratory of light industry products" has been opened. In this regard, plotter, digitizer, JUKI sewing production machines, overlogs, push-button machine, laser design machine, sewing machine with patterns. University Olympiads among students, scientific conferences of students are held annually.
